Please carefully read and become familiar with BDA (Bois d’Arc, pronounced “bodock”) Farm’s policy agreement. This helps our farm run smoothly and keeps both farmer and CSA member growing “on the same field,” all year long.

CSA (community-supported agriculture) is much more than a grocery store transaction for goods. Farmer and member share “risk” throughout the entire growing season. Our main goal is to provide the highest quality produce, always harvested fresh and solely from our farm, to the CSA member for the entirety of each season.

Farmigo is BDA Farm’s online web portal, helping us manage not only our “base box” membership but also additional items members can add on, at their sole discretion, each week. BDA Farm CSA members can manage their CSA through Farmigo.

Our Farm

Bois d’Arc (BDA) Farm is a no-till, 7-acre USDA certified organic market garden located in Uniontown, AL. We focus on providing nutrient-dense, fresh produce year-round through our community-supported agriculture (CSA) program, with no long-term commitment for customers. You can receive a weekly box of vegetables delivered from our farm to a pick-up location of your choice. This box allows customers to support sustainable, local agriculture directly. We currently service several drop off points in Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, and Demopolis.

CSA Program

We grow over 40 varieties of vegetables and herbs and always strive to give our customers different, tasty selections each week.

Full Farm Box – $25 – salad ingredients, cooking green, root crop, tomatoes, herb bunch, etc.

  • Varies with season
  • 7-8 items weekly

Small Farm Box – $15 – similar to full farm box, minus a few items

  • Varies with season
  • 4-5 items weekly

Salad Box – $15 – salad, arugula, spinach, radish, carrot, beet, herbs, etc.

  • Varies with season
  • Box is designed for those that only want salad ingredients
  • 4-5 items weekly

How It Works

Our CSA program is very unique and very simple. We have no set schedule and our CSA runs year round. You can receive a box when you want it and put your box on hold whenever you don’t want it. Our program works as a Debit account that you can put money into. The deposits are in $25 or $15 increments so that you always have one box worth of funds available in your account. The more money you place in your account, the more benefit you receive!

For example:

$25 or $15 (Full box or Small box/Salad box) – Use this amount to try our box out for a week and see if it’s right for you.
$100 – 4 deliveries
$200 – 8 deliveries
$380 – 16 deliveries (5% discount)
$600 – 24 deliveries + Free BDA Farm t-shirt (7.5% discount)
$730 – 32 deliveries + Free BDA Farm t-shirt (9% discount)
$900 – 40 deliveries + Free BDA Farm t-shirt (10% discount)

Once you deposit money into your account, you will begin receiving your box at the CSA drop off location of your choosing on the next scheduled date. After you receive your box, if you do nothing, you will continue receiving a box until your funds are depleted or you decide you want to place your box on hold. There is no limit of time or duration of time for placing your box on hold. The money in your BDA Farm account is yours to spend when you please. For some, this is a great way to space out weeks where you are unable to eat all the produce in your box and don’t need more produce in your refrigerator. Placing your box on hold is extremely easy and can be done in minutes. Our Farmigo interface is smart phone friendly making it very convenient to use anywhere you are.

We also offer benefits to people who refer a friend. Members who refer a friend receive one free box for doing so. All the friend needs to do is reference you as the member that referred them.
