Ground Lamb Burgers

Mediterranean Style Lamburger with
Caramelized Onions and Tzatziki 

Lamburger Ingredients 

  • 1lb of BDA Grass-Fed Ground Sheep 

  • 4 cloves of garlic minced 

  • 1 tsp. dried oregano

  • 1 tsp. parsley 

  • 8 fresh mint leaves chopped

  • 7 fresh basil leaves chopped 

  • Salt and pepper

  • *optional* ½ tsp. chili powder for a kick!

  • Caramelized Onions 

  • 2-3 BDA Onions sliced

  • 3 Tbs. butter

  • Olive Oil 

  • Salt and pepper

  • ¼ tsp. cumin 

Tzatziki Sauce Ingredients

  • ½ cup plain Greek Yogurt

  • 1 Tbs. freshly squeezed lemon juice 

  • 1-2 BDA cucumber sliced

  • 1 tsp. Fresh dill

  • 1 garlic clove minced

  • Salt and pepper

  • *optional* ½ tsp. Cinnamon 

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix together BDA Grass-Fed Ground Sheep with all spices. Gently separate mixture into four patties. 

  2. Drizzle pan with oil and heat to medium. 

  3. Cook sheep patties for 5 min, flip and cook for an additional 5 minutes. 

  4. To make the Tzatziki Sauce, begin by washing and peeling the cucumbers. Chop into small pieces. Add all ingredients with cucumber pieces and mix together.

  5. To caramelize the BDA onion, heat butter and oil in a skillet. Add sliced onions to the pan. Sprinkle in the spices and mix. Saute on medium heat until onions are caramelized. 

  6. Place lamburgers on either toasted buns or a bed of lettuce. Drizzle with Tzatziki sauce and top with a scoop of sautéed onions. Enjoy!
